Legacy FamilySearch does not let you print out ordinance lists or tag individuals. Ordinance reports (lists) and tagging are done from within Legacy Family Tree.

There are three methods for printing out ordinances and two for tagging people: 1. LDS Ordinance Reports, 2. Missing Information Search and the customizable 3. Detailed Search.  There is also a 4. Potential Problems Report for problems such as invalid temple names; ordinance dates before a temple was built; or sealing ordinances but missing baptism and/or endowment ordinances.

• LDS Ordinance Reports

1. Start Legacy Family Tree.
2. Click on Reports on the menu bar and select Other Reports > LDS Ordinance....
3. The LDS Ordinance Reports screen will open.
4. Select what kind of ordinance status you want included. Click the Help button for more information on these.
5. Preview and/or print your report.

The people in LDS Ordinance Reports cannot be tagged because this report does not create a Search List. However, you can use previously tagged people to create a report.

• Missing Information Search

You can also use Legacy's search for Missing Information feature to find individuals who are missing one or more ordinance dates or temples. Click on Search > Find and select the Missing Information tab.

The Search List (a subset of the Name List) can be tagged. Please see Tagging - Advanced Tagging for the steps.

The Search List can also be printed.  It will be printed in the order that it is sorted - by RIN, Given or Surname.

  1. Click on View > Name List.
  2. Click the Print button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select your options and then choose the information you want included. Click the button to open Customize screen.
    a. First, click one of the buttons in the Customize screen to open the Field Names to Display screen.
    b. Second, highlight an item you want included.

    c. Third click the Select button screen and the
Field Names to Display screen will close.
    d. Close the Customize screen to get back to the List Report Options screen. If you need more information, please click the Help button in the screen you have questions about.
  4. Make sure to check mark RIN, Surname, Given names, LDS ordinances and whatever else you want included.
  5. Click the Preview button to make sure your report is the way you want it.
  6. Select the report destination (output). This can be Screen/Print, a CSV file that can be opened in a spreadsheet program like MS Excel, or a PDF file that can be opened in Adobe Reader.
  7. If satisfied with the preview, click the Print button if the destination is Screen/Print. Click the Create button if the destination is a CSV or PDF file.

• Detailed Search

Click on Search > Find and select the Detailed Search tab. For more information please see Searching - Detailed Searches.

The above search would find all males in a family file that have a completed LDS Baptism.  To find all males with no LDS Baptism recorded (a blank LDS Baptism date) change the search criteria to:

To print or tag the Search List, see the steps above.

Potential Problems Report for LDS Ordinances

You can run a Potential Problems Report for the following issues:

1. Click on Tools > Potential Problems.
2. Uncheck all of the items on the Warnings, Problems, Standardization and Gaps tabs by clicking the Clear All button on each.
3. On the LDS tab check mark those items you want in your Problem Report and click the Preview button. If the report is satisfactory, print it.
