Event Narrative Formatting (Deluxe Edition only)

When printing book style reports you have several choices concerning the formatting of the sections having to do with individual and marriage events.  There are two different styles and variations of each:

Use Event Sentence formatting

The Event Narrative Formatting screen is reached by clicking the Event Narrative Format button on the Format tab of the Report Options screen when printing a book style report.

This style takes the information you have entered for each event and builds sentences from the sentence definitions for each event type.  After building the sentences, you can choose how you want them printed on the report:

Number each event consecutively
      • Each event sentence is preceded by a consecutive number.

Bullet point each event
     • Precede each event with a round bullet point.

Combine all events into one paragraph
     • If a person or marriage has more than one event, the sentences are combined consecutively into one paragraph and then printed.

Use List Style formatting

The events are printed in a list with each piece of information shown separately.  The event sentence definitions are not used.

Number each event consecutively
     • Each event is preceded by a consecutive number.

Bullet point each event
     • Precede each event with a round bullet point.
