When you get “Runtime Error ‘380’ Invalid Property Value” when clicking Source Clipboard button in Legacy:

1. Please make sure that you have the most recent Legacy update by visiting http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/DownloadUpdate.asp. The update has a "patch" related to a Source error. Be sure to temporarily disable your internet security program(s) as some of these will cause serious problem for Legacy.

2. Do a check/repair of your family file. See the article "How to Check/Repair your family file - Legacy" at http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-00749.

3. Next reset Legacy's default values. Please click on Options > Customize > Options for Default Settings > Reset to Legacy-Defaults and confirm the reset action.

4. With Legacy closed open your Documents folder and browse into Legacy Family Tree\Data and delete the files that end with .NC or .NC0, etc.

5. Try the Source Clipboard again.  It should work.

If these steps do not fix the Source Clipboard problem, a clean re-installation will probably solve it. Please ask for the steps.

When you get “Runtime Error ‘380’ Invalid Property Value” when clicking Source Clipboard button in Legacy 7.5 or earlier:

1. Please visit http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-00899 and download the final revision (build) of your version. Be sure to temporarily disable your internet security program(s) as some of these will cause serious problem for Legacy.

2. Do a check/repair of your family file. Click on File> File Maintenance > Check/Repair and follow the prompts. If the error messages occur during the Check/Repair process, click No to continue with the repair. You can also try clicking Yes in some instances. Do step 1 twice if errors are found. After doing step 1, try Legacy again.  If the program works, you can stop here.  No further repairs are needed.

3. Next reset Legacy's default values. Please click on Options > CustomizeReset to Defaults and confirm the reset action.

4. With Legacy closed browse into C:\Legacy\Data and delete the files that end with .NC or .NC0, etc.

5. Try the Source Clipboard again.  It should work.

If these steps do not fix the Source Clipboard problem, a clean re-installation will probably solve it. Please ask for the steps.
