Message File Record #xxxxx was not found, etc.

1. Please use My Computer to browse into the Legacy folder on your hard drive.
 
2. Next delete all files with a .LNG extension  from the Legacy folder.

3. Re-install Legacy Family Tree.

We recommend that you use either Microsoft Edge to download. It is fastest to install Legacy from the Web. Please only click on RUN or OPEN when downloading the setup file.
 
If you install from a CD you will also need to update your Legacy program. Please visit http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/DownloadUpdate.asp. (You don't need to update Legacy if you install the program from the Web.)

4. If the error continues then you can try a registry repair. There are several utilities available to do this. Some cost money and some are free. We have had success with Ccleaner from Piriform. You can download the free version at http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download.
