Invalid Ordinance Request

There might be more than one answer:

• An ordinance is not valid if it was performed before the appropriate age.
• You may not request to do ordinances out of order.
• This known issue with printing FORs comes from people accidentally clicking on the Print Request button more than once.

1. Make sure that you are not accidentally or intentionally double (or triple) clicking on the Print Request button.
2. Go to the Temple Ordinances Reservation and Tracking Center and check mark the individual with the problem and click the Unreserve button.
3. Make sure that the person has no possible duplicates that need to be merged.
4. Make sure that the person's ordinances are completed in order. Baptisms must be completed before Endowments can be requested and in some instances a person's individuals ordinances must be completed before the sealing to spouse can be requested.

• You may need to perform File Maintenance in both Legacy Family Tree (LFT) and Legacy FamilySearch (LFS). In LFT, click on File on the menu bar and select File Maintenance > Check/Repair and proceed with the repair. If any error messages occur during the Check/Repair process, click No in the error message box so that the repair steps can finish.  Do Check/Repair twice if errors are found. In LFS, click on File and select File Maintenance > Check and Repair and on the Share Data tab click the Refresh button in the upper right corner. Try what you were doing in Legacy FamilySearch again.

• Close LFS and then browse into the Legacy folder on your hard drive. Next right-click on the FamilySearch folder, then select Rename from the popup menu and rename the folder zFamilySearch. Next update your Legacy program by visiting http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/DownloadUpdate.asp, which will create a new FamilySearch folder.
