OLE2.DLL error

OLE2.DLL is not a file that Legacy installs. It's a Windows system file.

Please try these steps:

1. Reboot your computer. Sometimes this is all that is necessary.

2. Download and save the Legacy setup file from our website at to your hard drive.

LEGACY: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/DownloadLegacy.asp

LEGACY 8 OR EARLIER: http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-00899 and download the final release (build) of your version.

3. If the error continues then you can try a registry repair. There are several utilities available to do this. Some cost money and some are free. We have had success with Ccleaner from Piriform. You can download the free version at http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download.

Optionally visit http://download.cnet.com/Free-Window-Registry-Repair/3000-2086_4-10606555.html. This is a reputable site that also offers a program called Free Window Registry Repair. The download is free and there is a video preview that you can watch.

4. Restore your computer to a point before Legacy stopped working. Consult you Windows help system for the steps to do a Restore Point. Try Legacy again.
