Research Guidance Script Error

When you get a Script Error in Research Guidance, click the No button repeatedly (5 or 6 times or so) until the message goes away. The Script Error is an annoyance, but once you click through it Research Guidance will work normally.

The following steps may stop the Script Error annoyance.

1. Make sure that Internet Explorer is installed (and up to date) on your computer even if you use a different browser to access the internet. Internet Explorer is automatically installed as part of Windows so it should be there.  Legacy uses Internet Explorer as its internal browser for features like Research Guidance and searching the Internet.

2. In Internet Explorer, click on the Tools button (the gear button) and select Internet Options.

3. Next select the Advanced tab and click the Reset button.

4. On the Advanced tab make sure that Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) are check marked. Click Apply and OK.
